Faheem Akhoond is a respected business leader, marketing expert, and the current President of the Jamia Karachi University Alumni Association Houston TX. With over two decades of experience in senior leadership roles across multinational companies and alumni organizations, he has earned recognition for his vision, professionalism, and community service.

He also serves as the Chairman of Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRP) Washington DC Group Academic Diplomacy and joint ventures committee, an international platform committed to representing the voice of overseas Pakistanis both in Pakistan and abroad.

Under his leadership, NRP Washington DC Group, has prioritized high-impact initiatives such as Medical Tourism at the Port City of Karachi, aimed at transforming Karachi city into a regional medical hub that can provide advanced healthcare facilities to the Middle East & Central Asia countries. Another major focus is on Agri Tourism, where agriculture and tourism are combined to boost Pakistan’s rural economy, promote sustainable farming, and create opportunities for foreign investment and cultural exchange. 

Mr. Akhoond began his education at Saint Anthony’s High School in Lahore. He completed his college and university studies at Forman Christian College, Punjab University, and later earned a Master’s degree in Economics from Jamia Karachi University.

He started his professional career with Pakistan Tobacco Company and later joined British American Tobacco (BAT), where he served as Marketing Director for  Central Asia for 5 years. His exceptional work in marketing earned him international recognition in 1998, when the International Who’s Who named him one of the most outstanding marketers from Pakistan.

Mr. Akhoond comes from a family deeply committed to education. His father, Engineer A.M. Akhoond, was the first Vice Chancellor of NED University Karachi, and played a key role in transforming NED from a college into a university. His three elder brothers are also engineers from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore.

In addition to his corporate background, Mr. Faheem Akhoond is an experienced entrepreneur and a passionate supporter of education and alumni engagement. He is happily married and a proud father of two sons and one daughter.
